This Satellite 96L is a fairly obscure Japanese-made guitar model from the 1970s — part of the big wave of MIJ (“Made in Japan”) instruments that copied Fender, Gibson, and other US brands during the lawsuit era.

Satellite guitars were imported into the UK and produced in Japan during the 1970s, often by factories associated with Teisco or other OEM builders.
