Description
A great example of a Fender Stratocaster Made in Japan (MIJ), manufactured in 1996. Finished in a classic gloss black, this Strat features a maple neck and maple fingerboard, giving it the bright, articulate look and feel associated with the classic '50s-style Stratocasters.

The guitar has the familiar Stratocaster combination of three single-coil pickups, a 5-way selector, one volume and two tone controls, delivering the classic Fender tones from glassy cleans and sparkling neck sounds through to the sharper, more cutting bridge position. Fender Japan's 1996 catalogue included several '57-style Stratocaster models with maple necks/fingerboards and black finishes.
