This CSL Maccaferri Gypsy Jazz guitar from the 1970s is among the most interesting vintage Japanese acoustics and has become quite sought after by Django Reinhardt enthusiasts.

CSL (Charles Summerfield Ltd.) was a British distributor that sourced its guitars from Japanese manufacturers, including factories linked to FujiGen and Hoshino Gakki (Ibanez). The company's Maccaferri-style models were based on the classic Selmer-Maccaferri guitars famously played by Django Reinhardt and were among the first modern instruments to revive that distinctive gypsy jazz design.
