At Morley's Music Academy we specialise in providing One to One Piano lessons that are tailored to the individual. We have a team of professional tutors from Southend and Essex.

Face to Face Learning

We're happy to announce that all lessons are held in person again. While we were all in lockdown our tutors were able to teach online from our studios and stream directly to your home. The response to these lessons was great, however we're glad to see everyone back in person.

1What can I expect on my first lesson?
On your first lesson you can expect to have a fun, relaxed and engaging experience with your new tutor. Most importantly, we'll be able to discuss your goals and collectively take notes on your current ability. By the end of this session you'll be able to leave confidently knowing the areas you may need work on as well as what we'll be covering the follow week.
2Payment Method, Costs and Opening Times
Drum Lessons can be paid for either via Bank Transfer, Cash or Card.

    4Which ages and levels of ability do you teach?
    At the Academy we teach all ages and abilities. Our teachers are professional educators that actively play within the industry. Their knowledge of the instrument and expertise in the field makes for an inspiring lesson that will encourage the best from each individual student.
    5Do I need an instrument?
    We provide pianos and keyboards at the studio for your piano lessons in Southend. However it is recommended that you have your own to practice with at home.

      Daniel is a pianist specialising in jazz, gospel and pop. At the age of 11 he attended the prestigious Chetham's School of Music where he studied under Adrian Levine, Les Chisnal and Steve Berry for 7 years. As a result, he later went onto achieving a First Class Degree (with Honours) in Music Performance & Production at highly regarded London university, LCCM.

      Daniel also specialises in violin at a professional level, having played in String Quartets, Chamber Orchestras, Symphony Orchestras and Choruses with guest professionals such as Conductors Sir Simon Rattle, Franz Anton Krager and natural trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins. Alongside his classical studies, he has played piano for Big Bands and Jazz Ensembles amongst musicians such as Ian Dickson, Allen Vizzutti, Bob Mintzer and John Dankworth.

      His musical career includes a residency at the Wellesley 5-star guest house in Hyde Park, peripatetic teaching in London & Essex and playing in church. With an expansion into organ and synths, Daniel performs regularly in function gigs with multiple bands and is currently the pianist for Pop Artist, Binky.

      Jazz has over 7 years teaching experience as a multi instrumentalist that specialities in both piano lessons in southend as well as guitar. With experience in teaching all ages and abilities, he joins us in both secondary schools and at primary level for both 1-2-1 and group lessons. The top priority in every lesson is giving students the confidence and belief needed when learning a new instrument. Building this confidence in yourself is something Jazz caters each lesson around to ensure we maximise your progression and continue to have fun with along the way.

      Jazz also runs a thriving local record label and is a member of Essex band Asylums. He has had a number of singles played on BBC Radio 1, Radio X, and BBC 6 Music. Jazz has been fortunate enough to tour with a variety of well known acts as well as playing a number of major festivals in the UK and Europe such as Glastonbury, Reading and Isle of Wight.

      With two albums under his belt he is able to transcend his knowledge and experience of the creative process to students. Consequently, guiding them on how to apply their skills should they choose to pursue music as a career.
