Face to Face Learning

We're happy to announce that all lessons are held in person again. While we were all in lockdown our tutors were able to teach online from our studios and stream directly to your home. The response to these lessons was great, however we're glad to see everyone back in person.

George is a highly talented professional working in the music industry. With over 8 years experience in studio recording, live performances and radio sessions, we're extremely fortunate to have him work with us at the academy. He has taught with us for over 3 years and the feedback has been inspiring. The vast amount of knowledge and skills at his disposal mean that our students receive the best tuition possible, direct from a world touring professional.

George is our head guitar teacher from Leigh-on-Sea. He started playing guitar at the age of 13 and in 2018 achieved a First Class Degree (with Honours) in Music Performance & Production at the London Centre of Contemporary Music (LCCM).

A brief overview of George's career has seen him perform at London's infamous venue The Barbican, headline festivals across Europe and the UK such as Lowlands festival, Reading and Leeds festival. He has supported the likes Tom Odell and Sophie Ellis-Bexter, toured across the Middle East, played multiple live sessions on BBC Radio 1 and much, much more.

When it comes to teaching, here's what George has to say: "The most vital aspect of a teacher is to identify and manifest progression in their students. This is something I pride myself on, taking the time to learn about my students' learning preferences and how to best engage with them." For preparation of a musical career - or just as a fun hobby - George is an unfaltering candidate as a tutor for guitar lessons in Southend.

Jazz has over 7 years teaching experience as a multi instrumentalist that specialities in both guitar lessons in southend as well as piano. With experience in teaching all ages and abilities, he joins us in both secondary schools and at primary level for both 1-2-1 and group lessons. The top priority in every lesson is giving students the confidence and belief needed when learning a new instrument. Building this confidence in yourself is something Jazz caters each lesson around to ensure we maximise your progression and continue to have fun with along the way.

Jazz also runs a thriving record label and has had a number of singles played on BBC Radio 1, Radio X and BBC 6music. He has been fortunate enough to tour with a variety of well known, high profile acts as well as playing a number of major festivals in UK and Europe such as Glastonbury, Reading and Isle of Wight. With three albums under his belt he is able to bring knowledge and experience of the creative process to students to guide them as to how their skills can be applied should they choose to pursue music as a career.
